There’s been threads dismissing street rap in general and they’re dismissed. And even then y’all leaned on the “why does violent rap lyrics gotta be truth, it can be art” take countless times. Y’all don’t want people to keep the same energy, cause when they do you people tell them to kick rocks. Y’all just wanna hide behind that instead of saying you don’t give a f*** about gays and homophobia.
You think this forum is filled with a ton of black posters? I imagine most of them being white or something else. They’re the ones who’s enjoying the circus show.
Either way, I can guarantee you that some of the same posters throwing a fit about what Dababy said were some of the same ones dismissing those threads. That’s inconsistent, hypocritical, and deserves to be called out.
ive been to a lot of "controlled" areas in north NJ and never really had issues with any of the guys there, but it could just be that im kinda racially ambiguous to a degree. i went to a hs in north NJ as well. i definitely see the segregation stuff but i see it more in district lining then in culture imo...but im not gonna speak for you obv because thats just my personal experience. on the other hand places like SI people are like live security cameras and will just straight up tell you to leave if you wander in to the wrong neighrborhood
Staten Island is just a mess lmao there's a reason why they set one of The Purge movies there
Your lord is watchin U shrimp dikk

Don’t @ me again til ya balls drop lil nikka
Constantly dropping my balls in your woman’s mouth
Rap has become the biggest genre in the country if not the world despite that, so outside of a few individuals not being able to perform in some venues due to liabilities isnt a real point
Also the think pieces dont matter as they arent for the core of rap but the outsiders who find the genre enjoyable but impenetrable.
People have been writing thinkpieces about rappers being homophobic and misogynistic for decades now and they havent changed s*** 🤷🏿♂️
it’s the point you brought up.
you made it seem as if those guys had it easy in comparison to DaBaby. both those guys and DaBaby are being heavily scrutinized and their pockets are being affected because they went even further beyond the general normal bounds of violence and homophobia that hip-hop has accepted.
Bro the street d*** violence s*** is niggas rapping about what they had to do to survive against oppression gay people can live that life too and listen to that music it’s not exclusive
Homophobia is niggas being oppressive these aren’t the same thing.
Rappers rap about oppressing other niggas, f***ing their women, and a lot of other ego-driven s***. It’s a lot of harmful ideologies instilled in people in low-income neighborhoods, and it’s evident by the rap you hear. Is it wrong for Dababy to say some homophobic s***? Yep. Just like it’s wrong for him to talk about killing others, express his misogynistic views, and other s***. It’s all “wrong”. If you’re going to call out one wrong thing out, call everything out. Call out the culture that creates these types of people

He said he’s black so It’s ok to oppress other niggas but when it’s the gays he has crossed the line 💯

Street Rapper: I grew up in the streets and sold d**** and fought for my life
Bigot Rapper: Gay guys got AIDs
KTT2 User: Same thing

I’d have more respect for people if they just admitted that they give violence a pass because it’s entertaining
You having a good ass time and not responding to the other logical arguments people are making.
Rapper: raps about ignorant s*** (killing, misogyny, selling d****) and shows he’s a fool
You: he’s cool!
Rapper: makes homophobic comment
You: NOW WAIT A DAMN MINUTE

Black men in the hood can’t realistically oppress black men from the hood bro it’s bigger than that. The same system that forces poverty and harm on people of color is the same system that harms gay people.
Deflection
A street rapper can be bigoted lol.
My post was illustrating that people are conflating two unrelated things which is the real deflection. Like when people bring up black on black crime as a response to police violence.

These rappers can realistically oppress gay people?
a lot of people hold this stance than u think
Go past young folks
Older white folks defined dont like hip hop and same thing for older black people
Yeah but I don’t give a f*** about what white people think about anything really especially not old ones.

Growing up in an impoverished community wit blacks will likely lead a black young man to homophobia is wat we tellin U and y’all bringin up wild deflections
This is not comparable to the inner city crime rates, don’t even kno why u brought that up
Come on man that's like saying "They won't watch conservative christian anti-gay propaganda but they'll watch Scarface"
And most of these rappers aren't out here doing violent s***, and the ones that are aren't doing it to the level they rap about. And the ones that actually do the f***ed up s*** they rap about, like Tay-K, end up getting called out by a lot of people. For the most part the violence is just for entertainment, no different than a TV show or movie. But the homophobia is real.
I'm talking in the lyrics, not as much in the real world. The Gay Mafia clearly doesn't care if a n!gga raps about turning up, shooting, thots. They DANCE to the s***. But somehow Da Baby going on that stage saying what he said is more offensive to them. All hypocrites. They can suck a glass d***.
The Gay Mafia picks and chooses its battles. It is what it is.

Did you invent a conversation we didn't have?
My post was entirely about the "oh we can rap about killing people tho" s***
