album is sort of like if death grips wasn’t catchy and rapped about Twitch and KTT
Mix makes it impossible to hear them on most tracks, the beats are incredible though.
I can actually hear Danny OK for the most part
Lean Beef Patty is probably the worst as far as mixing goes
you like Old better? or The Hybrid? i’d 100% take it over both of those albums. those are pretty good to me, Ukno is great
Honestly yeah, I prefer the energy on those albums overall, unknowhatimsayin¿ just isn't an enjoyable listen for me

that’s wild brother, i respect it tho

I remember hearing this song on their pod and couldn't believe its the final mix, it was straight unlistenable

You can tell when Danny is mixed correctly, like on burfict! because the beat is very busy but you can still clearly hear danny
But overall it feels intentional when it’s hard to hear them, they’re going for a grungy/dirty sounding mix
bandcamp mix is good
Is it mixed differently? I'll download now, the Bandcamp cover is hard

It's the mastered version, but I think it's gonna replace the streaming version if it hasn't already idk
Surprised to see this so even, listening to the album it really felt like it was a lot more Peggy than Danny
This is the type of album you drop after you announce a tour but before you sell tickets for it.
These niggas have no business acumen.
Like 100 Gecs and Caroline dropping is helping them sell tickets and more
The cover is blaxploitation but the music doesn’t reflect that at all
Next album needs more gospel tho
Is he really? He's pretty open about his life but I don't follow his stuff outside of music like that
He seemed to be really healthy and happy just before the pandemic, hope he's alright
Yeah, he said he was drunk & high for most of the sessions. Just the other day when he performed at SXSW he talked about going in & taking the funds for the performance & putting it towards that. He quit on Dip like a quarter way through because it was too much for him. He's afraid that he won't have anything interesting to write about without substance abuse, which is wrong
The synths in Lean Beef Patty remind me of When it Rain, it's still crazy that the entire beat for that was pretty much made in 1968 by the lady who made the Dr. Who theme, see 0:57 here
