So basically if you under 60 you have a 99% chance to survive.

Even those under 70 are almost 97% likely to make it. After that is when it gets sketchy.

And while those numbers are GREAT. Don’t be careless. You can still infect older people even if you aren’t feeling bad.

Do your best to lay low for a couple weeks & wash hands but ultimately we as a country & world will be fine 😌

Fearmongering from news & social media is a hell of a thing.

But it is risky for older people, even the 3% death rate for them is pretty damn high. It spread easy & is new. Lots of misinfo out there. But ultimately it’s better to be safe than sorry. But those numbers just help keep things in perspective because people are really wilding out & hurting themselves mentally/physically by doing so.

The figures aren't all telling though as far as I know. Depending on the location these figures could skyrocket for the older age groups.

For instance Italy has a higher death rate because their health care system is overloaded right now. Whereas South Korea's is much lower because they took measures early on and can afford to take care of the elderly and sick.

That's why all world leaders are preaching about social distancing, this crisis is not that bad as long as we avoid getting too many critically sick people at the same time

For the most part yes. I just posted statistics that should ease people’s minds. If there are MORE cases in US (and I agree there obviously are more) that we don’t know about that would even lower the current death rate numbers.

As I said everyone should def still lay low as much as possible, but constantly hearing the world is ending and that we are dying is only causing people to stress/panic buy when they don’t need to. Just be rational, avoid going out, only go to doctor if you REALLY feel bad or the fever creeps up. Mild cases flooding hospitals will only make it harder for hospital staffs.

Yes I fully understand this is why is why I’ve literally said numerous times over the last couple pages to avoid going out as much as possible.

But Italy seems to be more an exception than the norm. Same with South Korea on the opposite end. These are general numbers overall, of course some places numbers vary somewhat.
