it's massively more transmissible than it was in 2020, and we're responding to it with similarly serious protocols. it's not more serious due to how many people have the jab, but it can produce some insane hospitalizations with how many folks aren't vaccinated that it could find, and the fact that it can hit up folks who were already weakened by delta (not to mention it can potentially circulate in people AT THE SAME TIME as delta)

its dangerous in a different way, as any strain that is 50x more transmissible than delta would be considered

you're inherently making a claim when suggesting someone who created it

but if you believe someone created the virus, you should also believe that someone has those resources would inherently prohibit any "whistleblower" from saying s***

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know this doesn't apply to your aunt, and this sucks. But please tell people over 40 they should be going to the hospital / contacting their primary care physicians ASAP when they test positive. Starting treatment with monoclonal antibodies or other known treatments is important as EARLY as possible in the sickness regardless of how they feel at the start. There are ways to treat this disease before it becomes acute, but the media just focuses on the vaccine BS 100% of the news cycle. Especially for vulnerable people who are more likely to develop more symptoms.

She was double vaccinated but she was due for her third booster but she wanted to leave it till new year, mum is taking her asap for her booster when she's recovered, I'm so glad my mum got hers feeling sorry for my uncle and cousins too
