No, but this is a more recent study based on what’s going on here and not there.

The Israel study could give us a good picture of what’s happening but there it shouldn’t be taken as the ONLY study to look at. They have a much smaller population and had an earlier roll out than the US. Not everything can be a 1:1 comparison.

The point of natural immunity is valid. But you never know how bad you’re going to get it so, to me, it’s better to prevent yourself from getting it than play Russian Roulette with how severe you catch COVID. If you do get natural immunity, delay your shot if you want to, but that is eventually going to wane as well. Natural immunity + the vaccine tends to have a greater antibody response than just one or the other by itself.

The problem being without EVERYONE getting tested we aren't really getting data. The vaccinated could easily be carriers of variants or covid but they don't know cause they are asymptomatic the same way all last year many of us were asymptomatic. If the vaccination keeps most out of the hospital then whether you agree with it or not its someones choice because this isn't about the greatest health of all otherwise we would have health care or at least lower the homeless rater

Another thing we have to look at beyond vaccines is simple treatment. I don’t think this thing will really be behind us until some OTC medications get approved and are available to people.

While there’s a flu shot, there’s also Thera flu. We’re at a point where it’s not easily treatable outside of a hospital yet. Yes you can say take your vitamin C, Zinc, etc. and even the monoclonal antibody treatments but those aren’t simple/guaranteed.

I think in another year or two there will he medications on the market and we won’t have to worry as much. There’s even that nasal spray that’s supposed to be available in June 2022 that should ease things a lot.

With the whole vaccinated people should be tested too point, at this point I agree. With the studies about Delta giving vaccinated people as much of a viral load it is something to be conserved about hence the mask guideline regardless of vaccination status.

I think the main problem with this pandemic is that we’re dealing with it as we learn about the virus. Hence the changing guidelines and the assumptions of what can or can’t happen.

Personally, I’m alright with going to do pretty much anything, but I know when and where to take precautions.

I’ve been listening to different doctors talk about everything and it seems like we need a different approach. What I’m gathering is that we won’t ever get here immunity because the vaccine isn’t a 100% kill rate and you can still carry a viral load so therefor this virus will keep mutating and with so many strands doing their own thing, we need more strategy
