Oh ok, I didn’t know that. That’s amazing
You think the number of facilities and workers will be enough to ramp up the numbers on that front tho?
Can't say for sure because the national rollout is so complicated but most experts are saying that during the spring supply will start to outpace demand. That basically means that anyone who wants a vaccine should be able to walk in and get one.
If we don't have enough workers to distribute it right away it's only going to be a temporary problem
Pfizer looking like the way to go now f***
Wouldn't be surprised if Moderna's numbers are similar tbh, they just don't have the whole country of Israel to run these large scale studies on rn. Hopefully they're accumulating data across the states and the EU to come up with similar statistics. Either way the human race won with these MRNA vaccines fr.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about which of the two you get. They follow the same mechanisms. I've actually heard better things about the safety profile for Moderna, or at least a paucity of negative reactions. Seems to be working out really well in general.
mRNA tech is the wave going forward. It's already being used to attack tumors to some success.
What, how is that possible? Are you basing that on an expectation that the speed in which doses are given triples between now and then?
Because in order to get 50% of the US to have had one dose that would require 300 million + doses to be administered , and we’re currently only at 61 mil. So you’re saying that you expect 240 mil+ doses in a month? That sounds like a fantasy
I’m expecting the vaccine numbers to pick up tenfold. like at least 4 million a day.
but they’re lacking the past couple of days because of the storm i hope.
Half a million dead and I still see people drinking with a bunch of people with no masks
Humans really are selfish things
Lmao

This is why I don't wanna get this s***. Their typical patients: healthy 20-40y/os
"Post-acute COVID-19 Syndrome": COVID "long-haulers" suffering symptoms months after initial diagnosis

Summary:
Sadie (44) was a full-time personal trainer got Covid in March. Two months later she got over it and tested negative. Now there are days where she's so weak that she can't get out of bed. She still can't lift grocery bags and gets limb pain, migraines from hell, and loss of feeling in her hands - 8 Months and counting.
Nitsa, a pro runner, describes Covid as beyond the worst experience of her life. Now she can barely walk a few blocks. Random symptoms: hand tremors, balance problems, headaches, dizziness, blurry vision, double vision, heavy hands, memory problems, confusion, dissociation, and word finding issues. They make everyday tasks almost impossible. Then her legs gave out, but emergency doctors found nothing wrong with them.
The Center for Post-Covid Care in the hospital Mount Sinai (NYC) treats and studies thousands of long-haulers. Their typical patients: healthy 20-40y/os; most of which have had a mild progression during their initial infection. Most common symptoms: chronic exhaustion, intense headaches, shortness of breath. There's no medical explanation and no cure. No full recovery so far, but occasional strokes and heart attacks out of the blue.
Current best theory: ramp-up of the immune system during initial infection turns into an autoimmune disease. Hard to research in living patients because there are no foreign bodies. Autopsies reveal damage in lungs, heart, brain, kidney and liver. The same organs also show tiny blood clots.
