Yet a decline in hospitalizations and death rate 🤦♂️
You know we can’t just quarantine forever right?
some ppl would rather stay inside forever cause they got nothing better goin on w their lives and it brings everyone else who did have s*** going on down to their level
on some now I don’t have to see my friends on vacation/going out having fun cause they all just in their rooms like me type beat
My prediction is by next month everything will be back to normal. This has tremendously slowed down
„tremendously slowed down“
I wish that would be the case
Really don't understand y ppl think the country is gonna go back to normal next month just cause there's small amount of data that shows a little decline..... most likely gonna be a second wave due to the protests & everybody going out for Memorial weekend last week... this is far from over
Unless the hospitals crash and burn with a massive second wave, people won't give a s*** anymore. Let's be honest, this country has a short attention span, and even the media has completely stopped covering COVID. It'll be George Floyd coverage until we start getting into Election season
On the other hand, if there isn’t a flare up because of the protests, I could definitely see that being used to as an argument to open up
I don't think people will even be okay with "Social Distancing" after these protests die down. Once everyone comes out of the box, you can't but them back in. The health measures really only work if they're on a national level and lord knows we'll never be able to do that again. We're gonna have to take it on the chin.

Yeah I see that. People’s line of thinking is gonna be “if it’s fine for thousands of people to protest together, I should be able to go back to work/go out for dinner/go to the gym/whatever”

you live in Alaska or somethin?

"Unless the hospitals crash and burn with a massive second wave"
Bro this virus has taken a great tool on hospital workers, to the point that they could lose their minds if a second wave hits.
I predict by July we will all be in phase 5. Literally everything will go back to normal even if the virus is still around and I’m all for it
Have you gone out to eat at an outdoor restaurant yet? Weekend was nice out

I get that, but this country isn't exactly a beacon of compassion. We've had the "if it isn't directly impacting me, I don't care" mentality for quite a while now. It's horrible but I'm trying to be realistic.

Facts. I was amazed by the amount of people that were all for letting the old and weak die so they could go to a f***ing sports bar.
Conservative government leaders forced the country to reopen before it was safe and now we have people all over the place doing whatever they want like nothing ever happened.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a huge spike in cases in like 2 weeks when the numbers from test this week are come in.
1,000 new cases a little over a week into reopening for NC
Cases dont mean s***. Look at deaths.

Wym😭
Deaths is a lagging indicator
Are there any updated demographics for deaths yet? Seems like most of people dying in America age 65+ which is about the normal lifespan for Americans anyway.

Maybe in Canada.
Cases are important here too because it says pretty good how far spread it is.

Every empirical count I have seen, not estimate, brings up a mortality rate of 1/10th of percent for ages 20-29. Counting asymptomatic cases, who knows?
Half a percent is the safest bet across all demographics.
