Y’all over in California suck at this. Constant increase for months

Yet a decline in hospitalizations and death rate 🤦‍♂️

You know we can’t just quarantine forever right?

I predict by July we will all be in phase 5. Literally everything will go back to normal even if the virus is still around and I’m all for it

There's a new lab reporting backlogs, it says so right in the county report. Rate of positive tests was 5.7% today.

Not that it really matters, honestly. As long as deaths and hospitalizations are dropping, the case figures are irrelevant. They should be much higher than they are anyway with asymptomatic cases, but we can't properly track those.

Lets hope that deaths and hospitalizations will keep dropping in these hard times

I know. It's tough for me to even look at the numbers or care right now because mobility has changed so dramatically overnight. We're in a new situation now, apples to oranges.

Probably as good a time as any to step away for a bit and focus on what we can control. Keep following guidelines, stay safe, stay smart, whether you're protesting or not.

  • May 31, 2020

It would be dope though if we actually started reporting recoveries. Our hospital totals are down by over 500 in a week, about 4,750 to 4,215, which is incredible. That's a nearly 11% drop. But how many of them were recoveries?

We are LUCKY that summer is almost here and all the protests are happening outside. My gut tells me spread won't be devastating, at least not nearly as bad as it could have been.

It'll be interesting to see if Trump decides to be an a******, lock states down and blame it on protesters when cases climb. That would be exceedingly stupid but he's petty enough.

On the other hand, if there isn’t a flare up because of the protests, I could definitely see that being used to as an argument to open up

Really don't understand y ppl think the country is gonna go back to normal next month just cause there's small amount of data that shows a little decline..... most likely gonna be a second wave due to the protests & everybody going out for Memorial weekend last week... this is far from over
