the people who think this lockdown is going to the fall are nuts. Once the decision makers see the economy really grinding to a halt, they’ll open back up regardless of where the virus is. S*** will be back open in May because otherwise it’ll be economic collapse. There’s no other way. They’ll just let people get sick and die.

I’m really scared and I’m usually a pessimistic person but if this happens Idk bro idk these really could be the the collapse of America there will be too many deaths

It's subtle, but you can see the deceleration of new cases happening a little at a time. It took three weeks for s*** to get completely out of hand all over the world and it could take just as long to see an obvious improvement, but a lot of (non-US) countries are seeing positive results from their efforts.

And it's not just new cases. The growth rate in COVID-19 deaths worldwide was between 10-14% every day for three straight weeks, but this week we've seen that number drop to around 8% and as low as 7%. It doesn't seem like much, but we haven't seen a growth rate that low since March 14. Not even once. Three days in the last seven have posted a drop in deaths from the previous day, whereas before it was primarily a steady climb upward.

Lockdowns are dreary and have an enormous economic impact but they are working. It's incredibly unfortunate that the US wasn't more unified in its approach. We could have saved many lives and created a reliable timeline for recovery.

Reminder there were people in this very thread saying black people couldn't catch COVID and now it's being reported that minorities are disproportionally negatively affected by coronavirus and dying in much higher numbers.

Some conspiracy theories are only out there to lead you away from the truth, be careful and be safe

wtf. im glad everything worked out man, thats crazy. what were her symptoms?`wanna look out for my folks

Shortness of breath, dry cough and she had a fever. They still didn't wanna take her in. Called 911 and EMS said she was gonna be fine. But she would be out of breath by just standing up and had a hard time walking and speaking.

The woman in the picture invited a black teenager to Thanksgiving dinner on accident when she texted the wrong number thinking it was her grandchild, even though he cleared up that it was a wrong number she still invited him and he went. That was in 2016 and he's gone ever since.
