I tried the game recently and it’s more polished than before; only problem is it’s still unfun
I picked it up on sale a few weeks ago, put in like 2 hours then uninstalled
I can't believe it cost 30 mil. Playing it you can't really see where it went, still feels very early access and low budget. Peak player numbers on Steam are in the double digits. I love Remedy, but what were they thinking.

The fact that Remedy wholeheartedly believed it could become a sort of live-service cash cow to help solve their slow-profits issue is f***ing insane
Oh and fun fact: if you go back to the Game Awards reveal of Control Resonant, you’ll see Geoff Keighley literally say that Remedy’s last game was Alan Wake 2.. completely ignoring Firebreak’s existence
I’m shocked this is coming before Max Payne. Thought that project was further along than anything else they had going.
We haven’t seen so much as a screenshot or even concept art of it.

I figured that was moreso Rockstars fault cuz of GTA releasing (potentially) around the estimated drop date

Yeah, this came out of nowhere for me
Both have me incredibly excited though

Still have no idea what they’re gonna do given McCaffery’s death, if they’re just gonna reuse his lines from the original games or what.

I'm so ready
Really can’t have anything nice
C2 might be the last rodeo
They’re definitely gonna make another attempt at live service under this guy lmao
But idk.. Maybe this guy was really needed to make Remedy games profitable right out of the gate cus they’ve been in survival mode for a while
I don’t think we have to worry just yet with Sam Lake still at the studio.

Remedy universe live service so soon
Yeah I don’t think anything already in development/planned is any trouble. I doubt I’ll like what remedy becomes over the next decade if this guy has his way.
If it saves them from potential closure, fine
But if I have to watch remedy turn into a slop studio I might end it all

Resonant probably a make-or-break release for Remedy as a whole, iow their most important game to date
We gotta preorder that s*** to save Remedy y’all
If that flops then I can see this new CEO gaining more leverage over the studio’s future output..
It’s kinda a similar situation to what Bungie is facing right now with Sony. Last year at a financial meeting, Sony basically "threatened" to have more power over Bungie cus they’ve been failing at meeting sales expectations with Destiny 2 DLC..
And I imagine Sony is breathing down Bungie’s neck over Marathon
RIP, at least we’re getting this classic before s*** falls apart
Maybe there’s solace in the fact that Remedy learned a harsh lesson from Firebreak so their next live-service game probably finna be a banger
#copium
Gameplay from State of Play
gameplay looked super interesting. I’m ready to dive in already!
Looks like the weapon switches form depending on which move or combo step is being executed as opposed to being manually selected

Bro remedy was like the only studio I had full confidence in after Control then Alan Wake 2.
After Firebreak and now this, I actually believe Control 2 could be the last game we get from them that isn’t corrupted by online play or money grab tactics. S*** is depressing
Yeah nah. Out. Very quickly was made a Stan, aaaaand very quickly I'm losing interest. Waiting on max payne remake now
They're absolutely right, this is not a safe sequel smh.
