Might honestly be the most frustrating movie of all time. It’s got the bones to be a classic but the ending is comically awful like the most cringiest cringe imaginable

I literally have it on right now at the climax and the scene where Topher Grace is holding a tire iron like a dork and the zero dark thirty chick is hugging Casey affleck after burning his crops and meanwhile coop is having the dumbest possible expositional conversation with a robot - all of this is unforgivably bad.

Visually it’s stunning.

When I call it frustrating it’s not because it’s awful, but rather because it’s an incredibly well directed movie with a very good story, but the scene writing and dialogue and some of the casting choices are just atrocious

Ultimately it’s a 7/10 movie for me. 10/10 in some ways and makes me barf in other ways

The fact that Murph tells Coop to go back to space within 1 minute of reuniting with him is the cherry on the top of the s*** sundae that is the third act

Coop going back out as an explorer at the end makes NO SENSE

He steals a small ship to fly off on his own?? Who the f*** let the Nolan brothers write this script with no professional help

Interstellar a personal classic for me . I rewatch almost every year

He had to go help Catwoman set up the new civilization or maybe bring her back since things panned out in our solar system

Drake doesn't have nearly as many bops as Feige

Of course he didn’t steal a ship lol but I also always felt it was a strange ending considering how much the movie is centered around family and in the end, he doesn’t even interact with any of his grandchildren/ great-grandchildren

You can probably just use your imagination that he did meet them but Nolan didn't feel like it had to be added to an already long ass movie

Literally could be fixed by a few hands put on his shoulder as he walks to his daughter's hospital bed but instead they inclose like a revolving door as he walks away to convey a detachment which seems intentional

Tbh Feige has barely any bops so I’m being generous anyway since I quite like Drakes hits

But they both been utter trash the last 7-8 years
