I mean the film even downplays his more unappealing qualities. Like wasn’t he supposed to be in a relationship with Calypso? The film implies it but doesn’t explicitly show anything. And even if they did, the justification is that he didn’t even remember he had a wife. So even him laying with another woman could be seen as virtuous or something.

It's corny I know. As a grown man, I've started thinking about life and having the idea of death scaring me. The 2nd half boat scenes made me feel content and free as Odysseus with accepting fate. NOLAN IS THE GOAT

Not really corny to me its part of the story of a man who lost his way navigating back to his soul and renewed love of life

I think it was just some aura shots with voiceover that we now know is bernthaal’s story of the trojan war that he told tolemecus when he first went to visit him. Curious to see that now we have the film but I can’t find it anywhere
