  • China’s a massive plus for these two major summer releases. Odyssey hasn’t released in East Asia at all yet and both this and Spidey are getting full IMAX runs there.

Tried to rewatch Dune 2 at that film museum but it was impossible to book. Not many other GT screens out there.

It’s one of those things you don’t realize until you actually look at it, but man, how come it’s rarely pointed out that this man dropped 5 movies in 7 years, all of which he either wrote or at least co-wrote?

    Like, that’s wild.

    My ears are still ringing

That was the loudest movie I’ve seen in my f***ing life

i keep seeing a lot of people saying that this is really loud but i honestly don't recall it being that loud

then again i could also just be comparing it to tenet and inception, which were both insanely loud

he made a movie every 2 years from 1998 - 2014 that he wrote and directed. then he moved to every 3 years

he's prob gonna take a break after this though.

he's actually only dropped 5 movies in 12 years 🤓🤓🤓

man loves to work, so it's a shame we won't see another film get made by the end of the decade

He said 3 years at the earliest but i could def see it slipping into 2030.
This project fr felt like a behemoth undertaking even for him.

This was the loudest movie I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen movies in all formats and such.

Could be this imax 70mm just renovated its sound system and its new speakers. But the entire theater was SHAKING and it was so f***ing loud the whole movie. Loudest movie I’ve ever seen

    Loved it

no sex, very little swag, very little in the way of interesting composition/photography, shots were mostly just close ups and a/b angle conversations

Just thought the post was amusingly phrased. Oh and Nolan had the same editor from Oppenheimer for this one. Her style pretty much goes with how Nolan likes to play with time in his narratives, but it's actually a number of folks who think that his films can be emotionally distant. I didn't have an issue with that this time around

its a big ass tv screen. I have no experience and this is the first time I've even heard of this. I'm assuming you're in Houston where the screen is. Decent bit of Imax screens are bigger than the Onyx. Dolby presumably close to the same size as the Onyx. Idk try it out let us know. Def go back to Imax or Dolby though

My fiance is having us go see it in 4dx lmaaaoo

it’s just the little things with nolan for me. it’s not bad at all, it’s a good movie that i didn’t like.

my entire critique summed up with in the title card it says in a time of “apparent magic” and then meets a cyclops, and has all of his men turned into pigs, so is it magic or not? how can it apparently be magic when he sits and experiences the magic he talks to dead people?

his editing style is also heavily influenced by Tony Scott and Oliver Stone, so calling it "tik-tok brain" just threw me off

It hasn’t been released there yet, same with China and South Korea.
