post-apocalyptic films/shows get tons of criticism for costume choices too

there's a middle ground. people going overboard to nitpick and hate on this and there are also some areas where it looks like Nolan could've made better choices

with the questionable costumes and the lack of greek casting this movie better be good man...

again not a huge deal to me but with a film budget this huge they definitely could’ve tried a little harder

those superhero movies or post-apocalyptic shows/films are not getting s*** on for the costumes anywhere near to this extent. that being said, i also have to point that anyone complaining about costumes on a superhero film (aka complete fantasy) is sad and embarassing.

not sure about the comparisons between Odyssey and Braveheart, as the former is based off of a poem with strong fantasy elements (and contains historical inaccuracies itself), while the latter is based off an event that actually did happen. if you don't like the costumes for aesthetic reasons, then that's fine, but pretending that the majority of people who have been complaining about it aren't just alt-right losers who are latching on to anything to try and discredit the film is certainly a take

thousands of years through orators; i’m not putting any stock into accuracy when the whole story has been told through a game of telephone

there could be variations on the story, but as long as that framework for it being the hero’s journey is still there that’s all i really care about
