Can someone explain the difference between 70mm and IMAX 70mm. I have tickets for both screenings. Went ahead and grabbed some 70mm just to see the film on Thursday instead of waiting until Sunday for the IMAX.

70mm is just the celluloid of film. The image quality is going to be more grainy in look compared to digital. The screen size will be the same as going to any regular screening of a movie.
IMAX 70mm is using that same image quality of 70mm but now on an IMAX screen which is a much bigger screen

70mm, IMAX, and IMAX 70mm are all 3 different things.
70mm is a type of film. To the average person it's gonna be like regular standard projection with potentially clearer image. IMAX is huge projection brand that come in laser projections/film projections/digital projections. IMAX 70mm is a specific type of IMAX projection that uses 70mm film, making it the highest imaging quality out there.
There are only 40 cinemas that do IMAX 70mm so unless you got a ticket to one of those (it would specifically say IMAX 70mm on it rather than just IMAX), you may have just gotten a ticket to a normal IMAX.
Here's an image breakdown. Top row is gonna be higher quality if the theater projects the film right:

Man Nolan did not even try with these costumes bruh...
Wait till you hear the colloquial language in the dialogue
We will be there no matter what

I mean yeah they could be better, but when’s the last time you walked out of a movie and your first reaction was “MAN those costumes!!
”
imma be honest
i dont give a F*** about costumes
-Nolan right before they started shooting
im willing to bet that 99% of the people who are crying about the costumes in this have never given a single f*** about costumes in other films
this whole movement to try and complain and nitpick about anything from this film had been one gigantic chud-fest

its like a film score or editing, most people only point it out/notice it when its bad
these mfs could be swinging lightsabers and shooting laserbeams at each other and i still wouldn't give af about accuracy because it's all f***ing fake
its like a film score or editing, most people only point it out/notice it when its bad
and yet i've never really seen anyone complain about bad costumes in other films to this extent.
unless you mean to tell me that no other film has bad costuming? which i would find hard to believe

except it's bad a lot of the time and people still don't react the way they are now lol
I’m going to vigorously shake my head throughout the entire 3 hours of this film so the entire theater will know that I’m aware that the costumes are not period accurate
and yet i've never really seen anyone complain about bad costumes in other films to this extent.

super hero movies get s*** for inaccurate costumes all the time (multiple batman films, green lantern, 2015 fantastic 4). the movie most similar to the odyssey that got completely s*** on for its historical inaccuracies is probably Braveheart
