I personally plan on pulling a Paul Reuben at the theater.

  • ThomFork

so pretty much identical to Oppenheimer's rollout

Yup. Just like with Oppenheimer, critics will be free to tweet and obv some won’t, some will but atleast it won’t just be hypebeasts commenting on it

  • What are the odds Your Old Droog has "The Yodyssey" in his notes app somewhere @sentient_sherm_bag

Well i know the overall consensus of the movie isnt hinging on this guys thoughts but he does basically give his thoughts on the movie right here

Tbh I’d be worried if he didn’t say that about a Nolan movie

Just saw he didn’t say that about Oppenheimer

  • Nice interview on some technical aspects of the filmmaking.

This might be one of the most polarizing films ahead of release that I can think of in recent memory.

Thought those were just widely hated.

The negativity for sure but the difference is that nobody gave a s*** about those movies. The highest praise one could muster for those movies ahead of release was “can’t wait to have my kid shut the f*** up for a couple hours”

There’s real hype for this movie which is why it’s polarizing

There’s an audience for those live action movies among casuals. It did draw a lot of discourse before it’s release

Yeah but that’s the thing with casuals. They don’t really get hyped like that about movies. They mostly just saw this as harmless fun for the family or something to kill time to. They’re not going around like “omg inject this 10/10 masterpiece into my veins” like Nolan fans are for the Odyssey

Wild the number of people I see saying that Nolan no longer “has it” anymore. No benefit of the doubt or anything.

You’d think Nolan had only dropped Tenet alone in the last decade or something.

Fair. I guess I’m mistaking polarizing with controversial

What do you mean Tenet is a phenomenal thing to behold
