Think they said critics won’t be seeing it until the 13th. It’s going to be mostly press / celebrity showings until then

But yeah there are some members of the press who also happen to be critics like Richard Roeper who will see it

Rewatching Inception a couple of says ago, it’s a shame the technology wasn’t there yet to shoot it entirely in IMAX.

Feel like people have been LOTR-pilled with some of the reactions I’m seeing.

People expecting awe inspiring, sweeping vistas with a big, bombastic score beneath it all, camera swoops galore.

Kind of dig how “in it” the movie seems to be, like it’s not self-conscious, it just “is”. Very matter-of-fact.

It’s a different way of doing an epic that people aren’t accustomed to I suppose.

the story is a deeply personal one rather than some war epic.

it's very much an issue where people have an idea of what The Odyssey is and that that idea of what it is is NOT what it actually is

Nolan also has always been a far more intimate filmmaker than one might expect given the spectacle induced concepts he’s known for.
