I can't tell if you're joking?
My TV works fine
I'll wait to see this as long as my first experience is in IMAX
We can't lose the theatrical experience

we already seeing the ramifications of a life without it tbh
these movies, with the exception of Da 5 Bloods, that have been streaming on Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, whatever are all f***ing dogshit

Because theyre all second rate movies what do you expect?
If this was released on VOD it wouldn't make it any worse

If the internet wasn’t a thing I would agree, but I could get spoiled from looking at anything
Our own opinions aside, I bet Nolan is hating the idea of people possibly watching this at home.
Imagine watching this for the 1st time at home lol never
At this point...I don't even care anymore, lol.

that got nothing to do with it
there are plenty of fantastic films that are made for low budgets
the issue is these streaming giants want to have this tv movie aesthetic to their bullshit and they hire absolute hacks to make their movies for them. The truth is that cinema is starting to become more about appealing to Twitter than actually making a good movie anymore and that is completely the fault of streaming, which has in turn contributed to making cinema feel like fast food rather than art.

yeah but I am talking about like actual intended for streaming movies like Palm Springs, The Half of it, The Platform, etc. which premier at film festivals and even get pretty good reviews yet they all end up feeling like mediocre tv movies.
Even something like Roma was probably Cuaron's weakest effort yet tbh.
give me all my movies VOD so I can stay safe and comfortable
invest in a speaker system and a good tv if you have to cause them theaters aint opening up for a good minute

you sound like someone that hasn’t seen Interstellar in Imax
I remember seeing Dunkirk in an IMAX Dome theater
Life changing really
Movie gets better everytime I watch it. One day I’m gonna be lucky enough to watch it in IMAX.
