Nolan should’ve held off til next summer like everyone else

I think it’s 1. If it’s the first film back, it’ll be hugely successful and get a huge boost of people (maybe not now that we know that cinemas shouldn’t really be open and there would be mask politics around it)

And 2. If not this summer it’ll probably be pushed till summer 2021

It’s very simple, no one’s going to pay $15 to watch a movie and have to keep their mask on the entire time

Some people would, but I agree. And the option shouldn’t even be there because they shouldn’t open. But they’re going to/already are in some capacity because they need to stay open to still be around for when movies do come back.

I don’t think it’s about the money. Nolan woulda just delayed this to next year if it was. I think he deeply cares about the theatrical experience and knows there’s a huge risk of many companies going bankrupt if theaters reopening dates get pushed back to the fall or winter. So he wants to create a reason to get people to want to come

I wish there were more drive throughs left in the world. There are zero in Toronto and all are like 45 minutes minimum from the city.

Would’ve been so unique if tenet came out that way - unforgettable experience.
