Did anybody else at first thought Neil was kinda suspicious at first? Pattinson really played the overly friendly part well, I was ready to scream „I knew it“ haha. But knowing the big twist retroactively gives those early moments so much more weight.
Honestly, I can’t wait too watch this movie again, it just keeps growing and growing on you, all the small details, the awesome set pieces...

Yeah. I’m not sold on him being max because he would have had to be inverted for years and years to get back.

does anyone else thinking seeing that backwards fighting stuff is not interesting or fun to look at?

the situations, plot, motives of the missions involving the time stuff is all mind boggling is all engaging and cool. the car flip backwards stuff is all good and like other big stuff

but two people flailing and fumbling just isnt cool to look at?? im sure they were crazy hard to choreograph and shoot, but it just isnt striking imo

Absolutely crucial. I've seen it 4 times now and it's still such a great experience. The repeat viewings don't feel tedious at all either

Where is the flailing and fumbling.

protaganist vs inverted man in black gear. that main fight scene. in the theatre back in july i remember finding it interesting just finally seeing it in context.

but watching it back it has no weight or excitement compared to other parts of the movie.

the small fight scene with the protaganist in the kitchen is cooler to me and that was like 30 seconds

  • Second watch. You know what, i enjoyed it
Didn't always know what was going on but I had a good time.
    7.5/10

Nah you're buggin and might be alone in this. Literally its a dance. A display of getting used to the situation at hand: one has the upper hand and then switches to the other getting their licks jn. Even the music switches to indicate when the power has switched. There was no flailing. It was skill and a complete switch in fighting style that the other had to get used to on the fly.

S*** was fire and one of the many highlights of the film. Watchinf it still and I am in awe of how they pulled that off

I feel they could have done more interesting stuff with it, but Nolan's never been great with hand to hand combat.

The SWAT guy on the ground flailing that one time was effective in the theater from what I saw and my gf audibly gasped when she saw it because it looked so unnerving.

Its my belief that Nolan strongly dislikes showing violence. Hes always so so....so bad at it. Either its telegraphed fight scenes with terrible choreography or (my biggest pet peeve with him) whenever someone gets shot. It's always ...off...somehow. that factory gunshot noise he uses, the way the squib or spark go off, a delay in motion and reaction. Its so annoying. Super obvious in tdkr and somewhat noticeable in Dunkirk.

    Its infuriating
