This album, like most Gambino album’s is fairly bad.

Only good song is in In the Night. Some alright songs on here. Some really bad ones.

Been listening to Frank Ocean for a decade and some change and not once have I ever heard that nigga make a song like No Excuses. What? Is Steps Beach a Frank Ocean song because of a f***in acoustic guitar? This nigga Donald been rapping/singing over acoustic guitar tracks since 2009-2010

Is a 5.4 like that's just pure hate lol and it's further evident by the fact that dude spent more of the review talking about Donald as a person and work outside of music than the music on this album itself. Score aside, it's just a bad review plain and simple.

Many things you can say about the album that you might not like and keep it entirely to music. The sequencing, that it feels more like a collection of tracks thrown together more than a cohesive album with a narrative, some songs sound like retreads of others on the same album, Got To Be. Lotta valid criticisms people can come up with about the music. Tryna make personal remarks about the dude is just lazy and irrelevant to the music, which overall, is great.

Alphonse/Pitchfork does this to any black artist who just alternative in nature I feel like. I think they just has a one sided perspective of black creatives.

It's because Alphonse Pierre is a pick-me
