    It’s just the way like every person who loves dark Abel and hates pop Abel would say

    Basically the people who think he should go back to trilogy

    I didn’t mean it in a bad way that’s why I said hate to say it cause I know you have a better basis to form musical opinions than most people

    I just like the vibes better on Trilogy and Kiss Land, they're drawn out soundscapes with him pouring his heart out

    I'm attracted to music with intense emotion the most

    But stylistically, this album is pretty as f***, with smooth ass vocals

    I just like extremes

    Heartless really doesn't fit the vibe with the rest of the songs on the album

    i disagree, the 2 songs before it transition right into heartless and explain why hes heartless

    The only thing this is lacking is the truly GOAT storytelling/world-building that his first four projects had

    Production is so good tho and I love the way they did the vocals.. it’s such a beautiful cohesive album

    i feel you but it has more of that world building than any of his other s*** since then. in the same ballpark imo

    Singles literally the only good songs from BBTM for the most part.

    Singles are great but you can tell it’s a rushed album

    Starboy you can at least tell he put in work to make a cohesive album

    Both are littered w mid tho but Starboy sounds more like he’s committed to making pop instead of trying to be one foot pop one foot old weeknd music on bbtm
