The news came from a "reliable leaker". But in my experience these "reliable leakers" are very hit or miss.(their "leaks" are usually just very predictable and easy things to predict. The chances of a massively popular manga getting a movie and 2nd season is a very safe bet)

I'm sure at the very least Season 2 will happen sooner or later. However Shonen Jump, or MAPPA has yet to confirm anything themselves

Finished episode 3. Cool action sequences, but ngl, some of this writing is cringe.

Boy swallows demon because circumstances forced his hand. Turns out demon is THE demon. Demon hunting group saves boy’s life on the condition he uses his powers to hunt down fragments of evil demon by fighting demons who are based off fear.

Only real difference is Denji can control it and the CM demons are based on more literal fears, not just abstract creepy crawlies.

There are some significant differences, though.

Yuji and Denji are two very different characters. Their motivations, desires, etc. are nothing alike.

Their relationships with their inner "demons" are also very different. Unlike Pochita, Sukuna gives a total of zero f***s about Yuji.

Gojo saved Yuji, and his motivation for doing so is completely different than Makima's. In a way, a lot of the similarities you've brought up end up contrasting each other.

Obviously there are more differences but at the end of the day they’re both about two teens with demon powers they got in order to save their lives and using those powers to fight demons with the main goal of tracking down “king” demon. Love both of em tho

not to be your typical "its gonna get good around x" type of poster but season 1 really covers my least favorite part of the entire story
