  • CDs are so much nicer to play and to look at. The size is also perfect.

I know 90% of people that own vinyl play them s***s off their s***ty setup

respect the 10% who save up for great equipment

  • Tbh maybe I should start sifting thru the cd collection more

Literally just bought some vinyl yesterday

    cd’s aren’t ridiculously priced either.

CDs so much better in every way

false, vinyl is the best physical music to own. and a well packaged vinyl record with inserts + beautiful gatefold is 100000% better than some s***ty CD with some mini-booklet

vinyl is a life-long investment and well worth the money if you're willing to save up for great equipment and maintain that equipment

the issue is that the majority do not invest in the proper equipment

but I can do the same with a CD and a banger setup and room

Well to start off it's fine as long as you have the intention to upgrade and continue. If you keep buying records and never upgrade your system the vinyl purchasing becomes strictly performative and pointless.

at this point even a s***ty crosley is better than nothing at all

also lets not act like cd equipment is easier to figure out, i know how they be fleecing people with those minimalist 200 a pop cd players unless you wanna buy a system for it in which case .. boyee youre in for a journey

Correct I prefer vinyl because of the physical aspect. You were saying most people just but s***ty vinyl setups but a majority of CD's are being played in terrible home systems and awful car stereos. It goes both ways and as long as you invest properly you can prefer what media you want i just think vinyl is cooler, presentation wise as well. People exaggerate the sound quality in comparison to other mediums as they catch up but it also does sound fantastic on a great system.

  • i cant all the way hate though because this s*** looks kinda nice good thing my girl got me with a nice japanese cd player that works with my vinyl setup so i dont need to bother

    totally agree

I’ve bought dozens of albums on vinyl. Never owned a record player sold most of my collection. Own some cool rare ones

I used to collect CDs before vinyl but they're more easily replaced by digital media. I think my sister still has all my cd's
