internet buddy@Elric and @RASIE deserve mod status
I would give it to them in a heart beat as well but there were 3 spots and TML really deserves it as well. Is already modding for a while now, hosts Film Club for the community every week and overall just the perfect stand up guy you would want in a mod
I'm really looking forward to both Elric & Rasies posts in the new sxn though!! Love them!

I might be up for being a mod again since its been awhile, especially for a film related sxn. But only if nobody else steps up to fill a free spot. I'm not nearly as active on here as I once was, so I don't want to try and take a mod spot if I'm not active enough to do the job like I used to

Some recommendations for frequent events:
• A film club that's either a general "film of the week" or focused on a certain theme (era, language/region, genre)
• "Best of..." voting and results, where users submit their lists of films they consider the best of a certain decade, genre, country, et. al — the results of which will serve as an aggregate of the sxn's taste (the canon of Kino sxn). For an example, look at the lists we did over the year for the OG site's Rock/Indie in the section directory OP — and its continuation on this site by Galaxy
• Since it will be a relatively small section, nvidividual users can also create their own "Favorites" thread, where each user can list/rank their favorite films/filmmakers/etc... And each user's thread can be linked in the sxn's directory for convenience
• I'm not sure if this is still allowed or not, but it might be cool to have a "buy/sell" thread where ussrs can sell their own films (or related products) or request things to buy secondhand. I know the OG Fashion sxn used to do this, but idk if that's kosher anymore after the whole Judge Judy episode lol
• Somewhat related to the last idea, I think it would be cool if the sxn held a "Secret Santa" each Nov-Jan where users send each other surprise gifts, either by physical mail or digital links
• Maybe we could have our own film-centric "versus battles"? I've never participated in them myself so I don't really know how they work, but just a thought
