Also, having grown up in SoCal my whole life and always hearing people talk about hating LA because “you can’t escape the horrible entertainment industry” is just really wild to me. Like, it’s such a tiny fraction of my life that I meet anyone deeply involved involved in the entertainment industry.

I feel like the reason you hear that, is ironically because the people that have a big platform that live in LA that describe LA are entertainers, so they don’t know what LA is like for people not in that industry (which is a majority of people)

Also LA/SoCal is a very large sprawling area with no true “core” like other metro areas
