That's an outlier. A great one because of what eventually occured. But, an outlier nonetheless. There are several others, but for the most part it's a tug and pull for change.

why would you even want a "tug of war" of change, how is this appealing to anybody. liberals are such losers, man.

revolution is inspiring to the masses. huey newton had 60 year old church ladies pointing guns at pigs in their community. malcolm had white people shaking in their boots and still does to this very day. thats what real change looks like. not this farce that you b**** keep telling people is the only way forward.

That slave clause was some bullshit. Feels like a circle

    It is a circle lol

This country is one dedicated to private business. That’s literally what the Revolutionary war was fought over. That was the prioritized demographic during the drafting of the constitution. It’s never been about democracy in any way other than a narrative, ideological sense. It is about capitalism and the preservation of private ownership of other people’s work

I noticed that it’s only red vs blue on the ballot. I’ve felt cheated since I was 18

But it's not just that on ballots. You could even concede the presidency and not vote for either candidates. There are local officials, should our taxes increase by such and such to accomplish X, will we vote to decriminalize weed, will we vote to make abortion legal etc etc..

All I am saying is if your sole purpose in voting is to vote for a third party who will never win, it's a waste of time. However, if you go into the voting booth knowing all of the candidates and issues on the ballot then that's more than worth your time.

  • Two kinds of single issue voters in this world I can surmise. Those who hate minorities and those who want a president to stop supporting genocide.

Capitalism will never allow either single issue voter to be satisfied. Around we go

    That’s what I mean tho

The ballot is separated into democrats and republicans then there’s a section to write in. They don’t show any 3rd party.

The ballot makes it seem like red or blue are the only legitimate choices.

Ok, first off, the fact that weed and abortion are still topics of discussion is proof that we need tor refocus our politics. They should’ve been solved three decades ago like everywhere else on earth

Second off, this refocus needs to be on national projects that cannot be achieved by asking your city council member to increase taxes.

We need corporate taxes on a national level. We need budget reallocation towards education and science. We need national work projects in transport/utilities infrastructure and energy. We need to solve the issue of a massive housing surplus that’s too expensive for a growing homeless population. We need agricultural solutions for the climate crisis. We need to put antitrust laws into motion. We need to bolster the FDA cuz these companies are cutting corners

Your county won’t do that and neither party will do that given how complacent and yielding the general electorate is

It was wild to hear Kamala talk about sending tanks to help Ukraine defend itself right after defending supporting Israel tho.

russia wanting to turn ukraine into a rump state is not comparable with the mass slaughter of arabs and frankly its offensive to compare the two

Taking of territory can be bloody, inhumane and not be a genocide

    Exactly man

The thing is that all this stuff cuts profits so companies are dumping money into candidates that will play by their rules. And CNN will broadcast them because it’ll help them make money too

It’s all f***ed up and it’s why we have to join community-based advocacy groups. We need to learn and discuss politics in a way disconnected from what these big suits tell us

It allows everyone to get on the same page about what’s really important and let’s us organize ways to support candidates who will serve us instead of vice versa

Russia would destroy the idea of Ukraine

Israel would destroy the idea, people, and land of Palestine

Fair. I was wrong. The point I was trying to make had nothing to do with the semantics though, I said it was weird Kamala talked about helping Ukraine defend itself when she offered nothing to Palestine but a “we are gonna work on that ceasefire”

It’s not weird when u think about just how inhumane the people in capital hill are

They’re serving a totally different set of interests than what you and I believe in. They’re people who follow the money, not the lives or well being of others
