Yeah like white women didn't even care about abortion so it's like if you can't get em to care about that over the economy then what does that say about how a candidate needs to run.

You can be a rapist, racist and a felon and still win if you talk big on economy? What does that say about American citizens @spongebob

It means that American’s material needs are not being met, people frequently feel as if they are in a precarious state of living and want solutions

Trump’s MAGA appeal answers appeals with faux populist rhetoric to people because he called out obvious stuff like the economy was s***, we shouldn’t be giving money to Ukraine, we need to end the war in ME, etc

While the Democrats? They can really show nothing for it because they have been in office the past 4 years, we all know Americans flip flop candidates often based on who’s in office. So applying this to the 2020-2024 cycle

The Democrats have ran on unpopular wars, a declining economy that has only benefitted the financial sector, while at home a myriad of domestic issues (Hawaii fire, Hurricanes, train wrecks, the perception of uncontrolled migration, perception of crime, homelessness) these are real issues that get thrown to the standard beaucratic framework while Americans on TV see a stumbling old man as their leader giving blank checks to foreign leaders

And how did the Democrats actually run? Remember the Republicans are largely satisfied with the MAGA caucus and Trump, but the Democrats Biden again after 2020 who said he was a 1 term guy. Confirmed him again in 2022 and gaslight the entire country and especially half their voter base into defending he wasn’t senile until the party heads themselves had to swap out a candidate 3 MONTHS before the election. Meanwhile the Democrats ran some weird campaign where Kamala tried to seperate herself on Biden and basically ran as a bush era republican to try and court republicans and diminishing her own base.

This is already long and I can go on, but finally remember most Americans do not vote. The large majority cannot because of legal reasons or opt out. That means that a large portion of the population sees a system where neither choice is viable enough

That is the bigger key than who voted Red or Blue or Third. Yes there are a decent chunk of outright reactionary Americans, especially those with settler colonial roots, but the majority are still waiting for another viable option
