I’m even talking about that, I mean trying to get around certifying results and the like.

Oh I see. The race is just going to get tighter and tighter. We are in for a s*** show for sure.

the f*** are you talking about? LGBT rights groups told people not to the support the bill bc it gives the state AGs the ability to keep LGBT content offline in the name of "protecting kids".

yall copmala voters don't give a s*** about queer people, like everything else its all an act.

Literally the only reason I’d see her going with Shapiro at this point is to up her chances of getting Pennsylvania, which is a major state that she’ll more than likely need to win.

Yeah look I can’t hate the strategy if she chooses him. It will 90% be one of the top 3 most important states, and probably the most likely tipping point state. Going with a popular governor there makes a huge amount of sense. So while I wouldn’t like the choice, I can’t be mad because if I was in her shoes I would get it.

That being said, if I was in her shoes, I’m also not sure I’d see it strategically as clearly the best option.

He would undoubtedly help in Pennsylvania, to the point where his FLOOR of increasing her vote there could be as high as 0.5% — which again is super significant when you consider how vital that state is. But my thoughts are, you go with Beshear or Walz and you continue the momentum and unity within the party, and they do no harm. The sexual harassment stuff could be a real net negative for Shapiro outside of Pennsylvania, along with unions not liking him.

I think in a lot of ways Kamala is in a really advantageous spot right now, in large part because of the momentum she’s built, so I feel like there’s no longer any need to go with a VP that has large variance (like Shapiro). You really wanna go with the most “least harm potential” candidate to reduce risk of having your numbers fall for any reason. Trump and Vance are clearly shooting themselves in the foot enough to continue to increase your odds.

Yeah I saw that, feel like Beshear helps more electorally anyway as far as non-Shapiro options go

Plus, even though he’s only a year older, Walz kind of gives the elder impression that could turn some people off. He looks 60 while Kamala doesn’t lmao

Yup, that’s the exact thought I had. I looked up his age thinking he was like nearly 70 and was surprised to see he was younger than my parents

Also felt like he kind of gives off the vibe to voters of being more “liberal” than Beshear — which I think is entirely unfair and more just a superficial thing because of a) how he dresses and b) being the Minnesota governor (vs Beshear being the Kentucky governor with a southern accent). Dumb s***, but the average American voter is dumb, so that s*** matters lol
