Hateful 8 way up there
I actually never seen it
but it’s next up and I’m very excited
Hateful 8 was mainly good theater watch for me
Hateful 8 was great but i always hate the inclusion of the flashback scene we really didn't need that
Tree Of Life is just Enter The Void for cushy, middle-class quarter life crisis types if we're keeping it a buck

There's film buffs out here who haven't completed QT filmog yet?
feel like most ppl complete it early on in their film adventure

I love both but i prefer ETV obviously
ToL isn't even my fav Malick film to watch (it's Knight Of Cups, unpopular opinion) but it's probably his most ambitious
I'm really f***ing biased when it comes to Knight of Cups though and i can acknowledge that

Malick from the upper class tbh and was having a 3 quarter life "crisis"
Should I not appreciate pather panchali because I'm not from a struggling third world village? Good artist able to convey the human condition no matter what economic background they have

And also let me chime in again fr this time even though Malick's point of view may come from an upper class upbringing that a lot of us might not reasonate with... the larger themes at play are things we ALL have to deal with and take up most of the space of his films since they are so medatative in nature. I see the ''upper class upbringing'' more as a SETTING than anything else so i don't feel a disconnect
That's my take

Watching all the Tarantino films for the first time in years
Inglourious is really the masterpiece imo. The opening scene and down in the basement bar are two of his opuses
Tarantino hella pretentious but his movies do be hitting for me
Haven’t been as active cuz my theater decided to not show any kino
I f***ed up not seeing Parallel mothers when I had the chance
When The Godfather remaster comes out and I get to come in here calling it pretentious overrated schlock
I'm not about to watch that
i've watched it twice (don't ask me why). 8 hours or so of my life watching Bob strung out on whatever in a directionless, unfocused, bloated mess of a film. Although the performance footage from the Rolling Thunder shows are phenomenal as you would expect.

I don't d***ride The Godfather like almost every film head does but calling it schlock? You're joking right?
Can you guys recommend me a movie that has the look of Gattaca? The colors in this movie are absolutely gorgeous, especially that green vibe some scenes have. Makes me think of Enemy
