House is delightfully weird lmao don't even know how you would try to recommend that movie to a friend, it's so random

Watching all the Tarantino films for the first time in years

Inglourious is really the masterpiece imo. The opening scene and down in the basement bar are two of his opuses

I liked the first few but I think the level up when he did IB is immense

I feel like you’re a Jackie brown fan that seems to be the cool kino choice for one of his best. More contained, constrained, mature, methodical etc

    Do you like that one?

    You're right

    Inglourious Basterds my #1

Jackie Brown isn't ranked as highly as some of his others on my not-so-updated Lbxd but i'd say that's my 2nd favoite QT nowadays

Super rewatchable, not so indulgent, absolutely god tier soundtrack, iconic & fun cast

Also find it cool how you guessed that correctly, since most of the ppl on here know me for my taste of very flashy stuff

Which JB isn't compared to most of his other work

But yeah the vibes in there are just so good, i love it

Could have been up there but falls victim to the self indulgence and some of the writing not landing as well for me

And i wouldn't say there's a lack of focus but the film def feels chaotic in a way that doesn't feel satisfying to me. It's a hangout movie, the plot is 2nd and i'm okay with that... but then why throw in so many of them?

I loved Leo & Brads performances and i liked their characters

Also the way it was shot was cool and he tried some different things which i respect

But overall it's a great film, just not top tier

Jackie brown mid for that ending alone. They conveniently decided to make Sam Jackson a f***ing idiot all of a sudden at the end for no reason

Uhhh... it doesn't change the fact that the whole film was such a cool vibe

And if that's the standard, then every person in a QT film is dumb as bricks tbh
