Something I just realized is the sky islands probably go insanely high up and are even bigger than the ones we’ve seen. They’ve only shown us the lower layer but sometimes you can see really tall sky structures that reach into the cloud bed. Imagine if you could keep going and there’s a part of the map where you’re like past the stratosphere or something

I mean they gotta do something wild with it right?
They been working on it for half a decade and using the same framework.
Im sure there is a s***load of content and changes.
And I feel like they'll end this saga big. It's their best received series since ocarina/majora

Don't think zelda is ending any time soon especially considering botw was kind of a soft reboot of the franchise, they're definitely gonna be using it's framework as the new basis for the series from now on

3 games of the same world
Remember when they said the title was a spoiler? Before they shared that it’s “tears of the kingdom”
been thinking about that. my theory is that maybe the story of the game is link loses most of his abilities from the last game and has to search the world for the tears (the Sheikah tears that fall into your tablet in the first game, teaching you each ability). Maybe there’s a bunch of large dungeons and you get a tear/new ability from each one.
The only reason we got a direct sequel is because they had so many ideas when pitching the dlc that they felt an expansion wasnt enough and went on ti make a full-blown sequel. Same situation as super mario galaxy 2. That didnt get another sequel, and i doubt totk will either, also because with new hardware they'll have much more computing power so theyd have to rethink how to design the open world, and in that case using the same hyrule again would be too limiting instead

Not a fan of sequel games where you lose everything you learned in the first one
seems like such a step back
