That’s how I feel
I don’t care about the gameplay that much cause I know how the core will be. I just care about story/campaign details
But the gameplay is the main appeal of botw/totk to begin wifh

Yes but it’s most of what I’ve already seen besides some new features

They been hyping up the story a lot, i think this wont be structured like botw at all

The 4 new abilities showcased radically change the way we're gonna interact with the world tho it's huge
don't think I've cleared one shrine with motion control the way it was intended. Still remember simply flipping the labyrinth on it's head in that one shrine where you had to guide that ball into the hole.
Think if it wasn’t an intended way they wouldn’t have left the other side flat imo

I didn’t know you could interact with the laser in this shrine and did it using bombs
Was very painful

This is the shrine i had the most trouble with in the whole game, i had to look it up online but i didnt want to find the actual solution so i looked up a way to cheese it lol. Did manage to do it myself on second run tho!
Botw has overall the best puzzles in all of Zelda easily imo, some mindblowing stuff in there between shrines and divine beasts. The fact they have multiple solutions depending on how smart you are with the game's mechanics is genuinely insane

Had to find a way to squeeze in a bomb there by throwing it from all sorts of angles
was kinda fun tho
Booted up Breath of the Wild again and man the game still holds up visually and gameplay-wise, although it did take a bit to get used to all the controls again. If Tears of the Kingdom looks as good as BotW does on my tv right now then I'm satisfied. This is still gorgeous.

Based on the Twitter clips from the official japanese Zelda account, game basically looks the same visually. Will probably have fewer hiccups and obviously the massive draw distance. Good for me, botw still looks great to me on handheld
Fuse alone gonna be a literal game changer
that's def the biggest deal for me here.
It's just difficult for me to get hyped about this when compared to back then when BOTW finally took shape. Not saying I won't buy it. I'm actually expecting a fantastic game with a more fleshed out story, possibly dungeons, plenty of new and changed areas to explore and actually intervene much more in the landscape. I just feel a bit let down by what we've been shown so far.
Then again, I got extremely hyped about Skyward Sword when I saw that you could roll bombs.

Yeah I legit just beat 3/4 of Mehdo's shrine without realising you could tilt the bird, I was just making the platforms move by building up momentum with the stasis power

And we know how that turned out

Yeah man i solved so many puzzles in that same way lol
And we know how that turned out
it's still a worthwhile game (a few dungeons are cool and I like the story) but probably the weakest 3D Zelda imo.

Kinda long video but they make a good job at a***ysing the flaws of botw and how some small balance tweaks couldve fixed them
given they were under heavier time constraints back then and they've developped TOTK using BOTW as a basis for much longer I think a lot of these issues will be tackled
I'm very hopeful
