big jake was looking like prime dominick cruz out there. in and out, dodging and weaving, had aj frozen like elsa for the first 3 rounds. then his cardio s*** the bed like it always does, aj started landing and it all went downhill for jakey boy. though jake did show some good single leg entries

I think AJ could have knocked his block off in the 1st or 2nd round if he was fighting serious. These aren’t really full-go competitive boxing matches. They’re closer to exhibitions where they just say so it’s a pro matchup

I won't say AJ was gun shy because he was swinging early on but just didn't find much success until the fourth. He gave Jake respect in the ring and was being cautious.

Ngannou tried taking the fight to AJ so it was a wrap early, but Jake was trying to be as slippery as he could, which I get; he was not winning this by standing his ground and slugging it out, so might as well survive a little longer than 2 rounds and skew the perception of what's going on in the process.

He's been a kickboxing “champion” and had most of his fights for other organizations outside of K-1 or Glory.

Correct me if I’m wrong or if anyone is a hardcore kickboxing fan, but I don’t think any other organizations are worth a s*** outside of those 2 when it comes to kickboxing. It’s Showtime was another org that was pretty reputable but I think that organization is out of business now. Those are the only 3 that I know that are/were worth a damn.

I think he was pretty much beating on gym level fighters in rec centers and bingo halls.
