ok dis racist
Y'all sound dumb as s***, Deontay Wilder medaled at the Olympics.
He needs refinement, he wouldn't have to learn from scratch.
He definitely needs refinement but he was clearly disoriented/unbalanced after his eardrum got potentially ruptured so it just made it look even worse
Dude couldn't even give him advice between rounds besides "work behind the jab"
Still f***s with Wilder though.
I never liked his trainer. I been saying for years that man got to go.
Wilder hasn't improved as a boxer, just has unbelievable power
Fury seen in the first fight that wilder is AWFUL fighting on the back foot and capitalized on it in this match, double jab feints into right hands... beautiful
gotta love twitter sometimes

I mean, the corner wasn't wrong
If wilder would work around the jab he would land the right hand more effectively
Yeah he can 100% make some adjustments but his game will be around the same. Look at what fury did, he switched trainers and he was able to land much heavier blows than normal. His jab looked stiff and powerful instead of his normal prodding rangy jab. He sat on his punches more and landed heavier ones when he saw the opening
Watching Wilder he has SO MUCH quickness at different angles he doesn't use
if wanted to develop into a more slipperly counter puncher against only fury that be good for him, he'd be super dangerous still
fury did exactly what he said he would. literally word for word. only thing different is that it was the 7th
As much as losses like this can ruin fighters, I really think this makes Wilder better. He's gotta change up some stuff with his camp like fury did and he can still hang with elite fighters.

damn gn. ima have a nightmare of fury chasing me to American pie now

AJ proved losses don't mean that much. but he gotta step his game up if he wants to fight the elite heavyweights

Work behind the jab is not good advice at that point. That's literally all they said.
He fought the typical Wilder fight except with a busted ear drum and got completely worked lol with no adjustments between rounds. He looked good in round 2 but that's it.

wilder-ruiz and wilder-aj are still there

Yeah but he never lost before today so niggas get a little to confident/blind to reality especially when you got the results he’s had over the years hopefully this loss opens his eyes

I still have no idea how he was favored in betting when you had a whole 12 rounds to show he got outboxed and couldn't keep Fury down

Aint nothing much they can do, they know wilder's pros and cons. The best advice was to jab and feint to keep fury's pressure off a little but what's that gonna do against someone who doesn't respect your power and also wilder doesn't know how to fight off his back foot and counter effectively. They were all stumped

It all comes back to that right hand everyone has to be perfect against him to win all he needs is 1 shot honestly so I can see why he was the betting favorite
