We were awesome first 2 series and I barely recognized us over the last 2. Didn't have the mental/emotional fortitude to keep playing lol. I was so disappointed after the Mia series that I resented having to watch these stupid games. Also Marcus Smart as a PG is a joke, unless u got Lebron on the wing

Yeah the Marcus PG thing worked out alright until those playoff defenses showed up, then it became our biggest weakness tbh

so if better plays than tatum can play like s*** in the finals, maybe we should realize that sometimes s*** just happens

Too much doom and gloom itt

Obviously wanted a championship too but overall it was a fun season compared to how miserable it started. Golden state is really good, no shame in losing to them

Tatum and Brown will continue to grow, Time Lord and Smart still clamps for years to come. Just need to bolster the help around them a little. We’ll be aite

If Khris f***in Middleton of all people is supposed to to be our biggest roadblock I’m not panicking about how this was “our only chance” lmaoo

  • We actually have a lot of opportunities to improve from here. This is a great core, we have picks and TPEs, and a lot of our younger guys should take a next step

I kno I was joking cuz all playoffs been hearing about how we’re all cooked when Middleton returns. If his addition is supposed to be our biggest challenge I’m not concerned especially with the Jays not even in their primes yet

The way I see it we got the youngest contending core out East and they only gettin better. Only question mark in the nearish future is replacing Horf when he’s washed.

Don’t understand this “that was their only chance” discourse when we’re this young and were battling injuries of our own

Simmons weak ass not savin the nets. Sixers our sons and harden declining. Heat a high end treadmill team. Bucks will be our only real challenge but I don’t see Middleton as some Michael jordan like figure. If anything I’d prefer him taking as many touches away from Giannis as possible

it’s not that this was for sure their only chance. it’s that who tf knows so when you’re there you take advantage. look at that old OKC team

I feel confident about a whole new season to build on what we had figured out in the second half. And yea pretty much the whole team is young. One or two more solid pieces is all we need

I agree, nothin in sports is guaranteed and you need to take advantage of your opportunities when you have them. That being said I really do feel these guys will be back and a problem in the east for a long time. There’s no indications or red flags that would make me think otherwise

Maybe I’m just looking at the glass half full but I feel like down the road we gon look back at this loss as a positive thing when it gives the guys invaluable experience and is the punch in the face Tatum and brown needed to further perfect their craft to that next level

  • Jun 17, 2022

It’s clear what JT and JB need to improve on and they’ve shown year after year they put the work in. I expect a big season from both

To piggyback on what Tatum said months ago I think to this point it’s almost been too easy to them having immediate success on playoff teams

This experience was likely needed for them to ascend to that next level. They got over the ECF hump so I truly believe this loss will be beneficial to them in the long run as heartbreaking as it was

  • Jun 17, 2022

5 f***ing points combined for White, Pritchard, and Grant lol. If we don’t get someone who can put the ball in the god damn hoop

They’re our clear rivals moving forward. The heat will remain good, the sixers will probably be at least decent, and the nets should improve. But realistically, giannis is going to be our biggest roadblock for the foreseeable future

Yea the Heat will be good but at the of the day the East will go through Milwaukee or wherever Giannis is
