so what if it’s not about them being trans in a physical sense and more of you don’t want to deal with what could possible come with it? like the outside opinions, dealing with your partner transitioning, sharing in their own troubles related to it, etc.

those feel directly related to a person being trans but I don’t feel like that necessarily makes someone transphobic. a weak individual maybe.

It is transphobic but it’s understandable tbh

i personally wouldn't call someone transphobic for not wanting to date a trans person because they don't feel confident enough to deal with the extra social "baggage"

one person would argue that if you truly love them you'd be able to do it regardless but if i'm assuming this is a genuine example, i think you're doing a greater net good by avoiding entering relationships you can't handle
