Ok fair...u like zep? John lennon beat his wife
I always criticize Zeppelin for ripping off a bunch of artists on the early stuff. Just pay the og's the royalties they deserve you rich c***s
Lennon was b****** and hypocrite but at least tried to own up to it. Zeppelin went to court for years to avoid admitting they ripped people off.
the Elric classic of caring a lot about that kind of stuff when you already dislike the musician but not caring at all when it's someone you like ex: Costello
I don't care at all?
get his ass too
Nope
lame asses
theyre better than every single one of those brit folk bands you love i dont get it
youre missing on 3 classics from this point on but seems youve got your mind made up so...

I listened to all their albums
maybe one decent riff. Never sounded like they knew what they were doing. Weak vocals weak melodies boring structures. Hate those guys.
If I'm picking hairs then I would say that I don't think Costello meant what he said in a private conversation when he was just being a drunk idiot. I know that Clapton meant when he said when he was onstage delivering hate speech to a crowd. He still maintains support for Enoch Powell to this day. Ray Charles forgave Costello.
I think if u cant like a song like wind up and its deep and real lyrical themes and fun music idk what to convince
But i was packed off to british boarding school and taught how to not play the game and unserstand god is not something you have to wind up on sunday

I don't have to put respect on JT after hearing Anderson talk down on Motown in borderline racist tones
already told you about that late 60s interview. Already didn't like them but especially didn't after hearing him act like his music was God's gift to humanity.
Repost or recap that interview
Repost or recap that interview
ill try and find it later
will have to comb through a bunch of magazines
Frankly I don’t care what the artists I listen to have to say about anything. Music is a purely sensory medium. It is sounds riding a beautiful line between noise and rigid patterns. Most great artists are a little out there, and throughout their years on this earth—end up either through curiosity, an eagerness to constantly change/react, or from some kind of mental turmoil—arrive at all sorts of strange conclusions. Nick Cave is pretty much a conservative now. I think losing 2 sons within a decade is going to have some effect on how he process the world around him. I don’t blame him nor put too much thought into it. The music will outlive my momentary disapproval.
Speaking of Cave it's crazy how much Cale sounds like him on that crazy ass Heartbreak Hotel cover this year

Eh there are some legendary artists like that go from towering masterpieces to full blown fascism like Thea von Harbou and f***ing Kanye who's art becomes so devoid of any of the beautiful spirit it used to possess that I absolutely do not want to f*** with it anymore.
You're kinda ignoring lyrics when you call it a purely sensory medium. And like Clapton had some potent guitar obviously but he was so f***ing boring as an artist, no vigor to his spirit after Layla.
I'll still heap the most praise on early Polanski but he turned into such a f***ing creep after Chinatown that I'm good on ever watching that s*** again as well.

I was going to mention that. I forgot to.

I guess we just think about these things differently. I’ve also rarely fixated on lyrics. I care more about how the combination of words flows and the way they feed into the melody.

Yeah I love a ton of artists that aren't to lyrically gifted but there's a reason Dylan, Neil, Ray Davies, Jarvis Cocker and wordsmiths like that are my goats. Able to express a fascinating worldview and full spectrum of emotions with their pen alone.
