Get these guys some tap shoes
Tim was really "sensual" on this album.
"Now you wanna know the reason
Why I cheated on you?
Well, I had to be a hunter again
This little man had to try
To make love feel new again"

i gotta make a good grateful dead post/highlights for 1972. widely considered one of their peak years
Hate these guys but I'm putting some respect on them today
Floyd finally come across their new sound which would make them the biggest band of the decade

I’m interested in how you focus on Glam Rock this year
glam was easily the best scene going this year. Bowie, Bolan and Roxy all on f***ing fire
3 iconic TOTP performances that started it all;

tasteful song choice @twinkletoez

@Elric looks like maybe some VDG to digest for 1972 after all. non album single where the A-side was a... George Martin cover (a BBC radio theme). and the B-side is a normal song that was completed after Pawn Hearts but before they broke up for a few years
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LNKldwf4aM!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR1m_m4dQI8there are also a few bonus tracks from Pawn Hearts era that I havent peeped yet, apparently they wanted to have a double LP with partially live songs in the vein of Ummagumma
k yeah I had the version wth both of these. thought it was just a long album at first. they're good.
not sure what this sprawling concept album is about but pretty nice. pretty folky but more sax than i was expecting

dang gonna have to check this album out
its a banger
bit more in the vein of Jaivas with the folk elements. long as s*** tho
guy from that band also became a very prominent producer for spanish language rock and also a soundtrack composer who did Brokeback Mountain and Last of Us
and reading that he left the band in 1975 because...they were in a strict yoga commune led by a former model who restricted consumption of d****, alcohol and meat

3 Amon Duul albums between this year and last to check out
hard and prog rock both peaking like crazy and easily clear glam for 72 btw
ngl all the prog ive heard this year stinks
hard rock having an okay year
glam rock having one of the all-time years any scene ever had

Tanz der Lemminge is pretty potent.
only got on Wolf City a few weeks ago but its pretty good. never heard Carnival in Babylon
also never heard any Amon Duul I
that Mythos album was also pretty good. for other krautrock i also downloaded Grobschnitt 1972 debut to check out

all the big ones of prog made stuff thats as basically as good as it gets with 3 of the all time great long epics (Suppers Ready, Close to the Edge, Thick as a Brick). kraut probably peaking, plus canterbury, international scenes catching up, still some psych remnant underground bands, space rock kicking in
Hard Rock not as deep as it was but still getting into its status as one of rock's biggest commercial behemoth styles. Sabbath, Purple, Heep in their peaks plus some beginnings of bands that would peak soon like BOC
maybe im sleeping on some deep glam but accordingly to my library ive only even heard 4 glam albums from 1972. doesnt appear to have as much depth beyond the big ones. if its an all time year from any scene i need you to put a top 10 glam albums of the year list, thats a wild statement
i havent heard the full Slade or Mott 1972 album or this year's Alice Cooper
