you heard these albums? @twinkletoez
I f***ed up badly missing this album for 1971 so im just gonna call it '72. The transition between these two
I listened to Ohio Players more than War. But your enthusiasm is making me want to check them out.

if they had a little more guitar in place of some slightly corny saxophone I would say these songs are just as good as any peak P-Funk
definitely check the '71-'72 albums out

a hawkwind classic
its cool how in a way they are like the anglo equivalent of krautrock with the driving rhythm and bleepy sounds
they also have been steady releasing albums every few years and now have like 40 albums
Nektar still dropping heat too?
you should've put me on the debut last year
checking it out now and it sounds cool

@HeyFella @twinkletoez have you guys heard this Kinks
The goats with yet another low-key mastapiece this year
I haven’t, but this is really nice. I do know Celluloid Heroes from that record. My mother’s boyfriend is a Kinks fan and digs that one.

Long time ago when I was going through their discog. I don’t play much after Hillbillies. This bangs though.
I have been sleeping on War, this album is some incredible Clintonesque funk
thought they were just Eric Burdons guys
this is giving me big melting funk soup spottieottiedopalicious vibes
just no horns

I think The Way Love Used To Be from last year is the highest ranking song outside of the absolute magic period from '65/Well Respected Man to '68/Days for me. And I'm not sure if it would make top ten. Just something about the dusty sound and lilting melodies that earlier period

I know some places
And I see some faces
I got good connections
They dig my directions
What people say, that's okay
They don't bother me, no
I'm ready to make it
Don't care what the weather
Don't care 'bout no trouble
Got myself together
I feel that kind of protection
That's all around me
proto-rapping if ive ever heard it. like 2020s bars even.
