Just the best stuff.
Pet Sounds is the best album of all time and it’s immediately brilliant and beautiful.
a john wesley harding song also named a goated band so that counts for something

Didn't really hit for me right off the bat. For ages Sloop John B was my only big highlight
Nor did Blonde on Blonde or Exile or Astral Weeks etc. had to go chronological marination.

Worst song on the album

That’s insane. I get it with Exile, but the others are pretty obviously great

Blonde is super advanced and pretty challenging when you're a teenager that hasn't heard any other Bob
only I Want You and Like A Woman go down easy
Took years for me to realize One Of Us Must Know is Bob's greatest song
I like when an album has something about it that makes me want to keep revisiting it in order for it to grow on me over time. I just didn’t see anything in this that did that other than the 1 song that really affected me.

Not a hill I would die on anyways. That's Basement Tapes.

Idk I think most of it is pretty instant.

Basement Tapes was brilliant to me on first listen.

Yes but as far as being overlooked. I insist everybody I know listens to it. The mythology that Dylans imperial phase ended in '66

A Dylan album that maintains the darkness and grit from his take on Wheels on Fire would be incredible.

Not to a 17 year old weaned on Sabbath, Metallica, Stripes and rap. It's one of the main reasons I started the DK method.
I’m sure I’ll like Nashville Skyline more than you once I revisit it. I’m in country mode right now anyway.

I'm Not There and Sign On The Cross are the ones

That new country voice was cool for a couple albums but not remotely as evocative as his mid 60s timbre
First time in this thread, I hope I'm doing this right
Insane vibes with this classic

yeah this is quite the swan song for one of the all time front men
"Into this house, we're born
Into this world, we're thrown"
he died the same week it hit was creeping near the top of the charts
@HeyFella coincidentally I suspect the apocalyptic imagery of Dylans "two riders" from All Along The Watchtower inspired Morrison's Riders On The Storm

I’m gonna listen again just for you.
