i was lucky enough to see toots a few years ago, before he died. man delivered a fantastic performance, played basically all of my favorites, and before he played country roads he said "i f***ing hate this song but i have to play it every show"

rocksteady is in the past, reggae is coming into its own this year. jimmy was dropping hits in 69 for sure.

Just wait til we get to 70 so we can get into the bob/scratch stuff (one of the most fruitful collaborations in pop history)

you were surprised T.Rex had some gems for '68 right? found this one for '69 and its one of the best tunes I discovered for this year
