Honestly a really great decade from what I've already watched. Nothing in the list above has gotten less than 3 stars from me. Makes me excited to watch more.

first guy to f*** off for a years at a time (yeah I know often cause it was a struggle to get funding) and only make a film when he had something to say, and it was always an opus. Tark/Kubrick of the first half of the century.

Obviously I'm not the only one that thinks Dreyer was in the very highest tier

Nope. Been on my radar forever. I just never sit down to watch it. But I sat through all 5 hours of Bertolucci’s 1900 recently, so maybe I’ll give it a shot soon.

Yeah it's only two parts that are 90 minutes each. Will definitely blow you away. Helps to brush up on its wiki to understand the context and creation before watching.
