@elric when will you watch By the Bluest of Seas? I’ve been reminded you since I saw it was listed on the S&S’s Top 250 poll
Don't remember you mentioning it lol but soon

Redes?
It's The Penitentes Murder Case or The Lash of the Penitentes. It was a little known exploitation film and was made to be sensationalized.

It's an interesting film even being surrealist in nature. Even the wiki page is: Rose Hobart (film)
"Salvador Dalí was in the audience, but halfway through the film, he knocked over the projector in a rage. “My idea for a film is exactly that, and I was going to propose it to someone who would pay to have it made,” he said. "I never wrote it down or told anyone, but it is as if he had stolen it." Other versions of Dalí's accusation tend to the more poetic: "He stole it from my subconscious!" or even "He stole my dreams!"

You like Garbo? Thought she was pretty awkward and bad in Camille which was also boring. Don't understand why she's so lionized.

I have mixed opinions, but she was good in Ninotchka and Grand Hotel. It’s really them hipsters hyping her up.

Nah it's also her contemporary actors
Seen people from Lon Chaney to Marlene Dietrich talk about her like she untouchable. Seems like her reputation was concrete just from her silents, which I didn't watch.
