The “uninspired” criticism was made up out of thin air because they couldn’t outright call the music trash without looking foolish

This pretty much articulates my sentiment with the lazy uninspired flow. With verses on songs like 7AM on Bridle Path, Chicago Freestyle, Seeing Green, and Having Our Way he definitely can give more energy and charisma when he wants to.

He chooses not to on certain songs and verses and I feel like once and awhile the flow is cool to use but he definitely been doing it too much lately or maybe just doing it on the wrong songs? Like I absolutely did not want to hear that on the intro and outro tracks on CLB. And even though I really like this record with benny, I am disappointed he ain't rapping with a little more vigor on it.

I don't wanna hear 35 year old Drake trying to force himself to sound like Over My Dead Body or Headlines. His current style fits where he is at in life and is natural. His rapping is so smooth now. When he's finished, it'll be dope to see how his sound matured through different eras.

Idk why you going back so far and using bad song comparisons. He raps with more energy and emotion on songs on Views and More Life than he has on some songs lately.

I don't see how you guys think his sound has "matured" what does that mean?

Now he’s just rapping and if you missed it then you missed it. And it’s also to highlight how effortless it is for him now. Anything he does feels effortless that’s his career now. It happens with everybody. Im so confused as to why drake is the only one that always has to do a flow like energy or 0 to 100 when he’s rapping rapping.

Yeah I don't understand what you saying. How did he say Les-be-honest as a way to just make s*** rhyme? It was nice lil clever line and when does he ever try hard to get you to understand the bar he just said? Wtf are you talking about?

What he doing now isn't some effortless flow man. What he did on songs like 4PM in Calabasas or 10 Bands where is just continuously flowing on the track like it's easy and natural with so much finesse is that effortless flow people want back. The s*** he be doing on songs like Loses and The Remorse is what sounds bored and uninspired. Like he just talking on the beat half asleep. Also doesn't help that the beats sound boring as well makes it twice as bad.
