It didn’t land like they thought it would, but I did like that they added in the twist of Batman having to rely on adrenaline shots
Would have been cool if he was using venom and they add more fantastical elements in the sequel
The Batman is the best batman movie. Most detective he has ever felt in live action. I felt it showed Batman off the best. Wish we saw more of him as Bruce though. Best Gotham easily. Nolan version of Gotham was s*** and I live in Pittsburgh so you’d think I’d be biased towards it.

I mean at least Begins had The Narrows and set designs
After that film they completely just said f*** Gotham
Hot Take: These Nolan Batman movies didn't age well. Batman Begins is the only one that somewhat holds up
Burton still got the best gotham
They built a full mile of gotham city in the 80s s*** still goes crazy
N Pattinson Bruce was a s*** detective, needed help with every clue he got

He’s in his like first or 2nd year as Batman lol he did fine.

I like what they was going for
The journal entries go hard af
Yes he was a shell of himself
Totally became.far more powerful AFTER getting his back broken and spending all that time malnourished in prison. Are you serious lmfao
Thats literally how fighting works
He actually trained for the fight the second time.

Some push-ups and pull-ups after a magical massage heals his broken back while eating bare minimum protein and suddenly he’s a new man? Lmfao

Needs to be a skill jump next film so we at least see the arc of improvement
Penguin literally laughs at their detective skills mid film so I’d wager the film agrees with you here, especially with his wobbly skills by the end
Nolan fight scenes are entertaining cause of the emotional weight and good directing. The newer one just feels souless because its not directed as well

The dark knight is still top 3 best Cbm and top hundred greatest films

Gonna miss these sets
Wild how we’re not revisiting any of this. Iceberg Lounge one doesn’t even exist anymore it got renovated to something else
the Batman has some stylistic advantages the film its self though is a wet blanket, with so many heavy hitting actors too it’s just meh

Yeaaa that’s facts. I’m just now realizing how many dope moments happened in the Iceberg Lounge
Fingers crossed that we get some dope new locations in Part 2 though . I’m excited to see more of Gotham’s underworld
Bale’s performance goes under appreciated too it feels like ,you can’t set up TDK without him doing his part here, only bad part is his stupid hero run don’t know why Nolan left that in

Idk the choreography just looks rough. Probably because pattinson is actually doing the stunts

This looks amazing but it doesn’t the same weight Nolan’s did imo Really just a preference
I don't think Nolan fights would honestly fly today in a new Batman film. Definitely not Begins' with those fast cuts
I fully understand preferring those films but not understanding what people saw in that beyond the basics.
The Batman's are well shot but again just fine as fights. He didn't go up against an actual physical foe like a Bane or Ras, two of his biggest challenges which demand more narrative scenes since they're climax points of their respective films.
