!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTu8aVVwzQ8&ab_channel=Original4ofusYTAnd let's not even get into how Outkast were rapping like NY niggas all over Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik
great agreeable post overall but you just wrong on that one OG
Not really cause you can watch many docs on the making of the album and they will frequently cite A Tribe Called Quest, Kool Moe Dee, and Rakim as influences.
I don't know why y'all are so upset to admit that NY did have influence on rappers in the south in the 80s and 90s like who gives a s*** lol

having influence =/= saying they was rapping like NY niggas on an album called (Southern)playalisticadillacmuzik
I know NY influenced everybody fam 3000 gave props to Afrika Bambatta on 13th Floor off ATLiens.
how i'ma be mad when I said in the same post I agreed with your post overall lol.
But if we going regional and niggas "being mad", why did yall boo them at the awards that year?
The cities been getting along and even the west/east coast beef was some s*** the media had played way too big a part in BUT Goodie Mob didn't just make "Fly Away" for no reason lol.
She was right until the cali jabs. Lost her whole argument at that point
she’s most right about that
Cuh hasn’t made a good song since her debut and is saying CyHi > Kendrick with a straight face
Unreal levels of misplaced confidence I’m impressed

As if Kendrick didn't wipe the floor with CyHi on this

Maybe you never heard this, but a person rapping in style/manner that is common in one region...doesn't change the fact that they are from another region.
I'm sure this is hard to grasp because many of y'all seem to think that just because NY rappers in the 2010s started rapping like southern rappers means that they don't rep NY anymore for whatever rehtarded reason. But yeah. Early Outkast had tracks where they sounded like the NY rappers who influenced them because that's what they were comfortable with until they came into their own style. Doesn't change the fact that they still from the south and repped it. Shocking revelation I'm sure.
Like nigga Eminem sounded like a whole AZ and Nas clone on Infinite but they didn't change the fact he was f***in Detroit.
I promise, it's okay to be from one city and rap like you from another. And it's okay to admit when rappers do this. Please let go of this idea that they can't.
The NY/ South beef is so weird cuz our coasts been collabing for decades Lmaoo
Yeah. 8 Ball & MJG were on Harlem World. Hov had Juvy and Too Short on his albums. Puff mentored Usher and directed Outkast's first video ever. It's some bullshit.
New Orleans Bounce was created by New York rappers.
Yup. That's why a lot of ppl on here don't really want to say what they feel about Kendrick. The smallest criticism of him and you get attacked by 5-10 stans. S*** is weird
I've never seen Kendrick stans say another rapper's parents dying is karma for a diss track, clown someone on here for being evicted because they made a post about Kendrick or DM someone on IG over some KTT beef

But I've seen and experienced a lot of attacks from them boys despite not doing anything other than post constructive criticism. Keep trying to deflect tho lol

You're the one deflecting, foh with "constructive criticism"
You were clowning MMATBS in that sales thread and had to take a break when niggas started doing the same after HNVM sold 204k
You, TheGreatDivine and other Drake stans do the same s***. Start gaslighting when people point out your cap and hypocrisy

Not once did I do that - only thing I did was discussing the numbers, just like I did with any other rappers numbers. Didn't clown them. But when Kendrick fans started pipin up and talking about it being great numbers I had to put them in their place. But again, I did it in a civilized way. Not my fault people don't like facts.
i think there's a difference in criticizing the merit of his music and its aims and a latent function.
the phrasing implies he intentionally makes music for the express purpose for the aforementioned reception by white people, and singles him out as the only rapper who's music provides this manifest function, but a bunch of rappers provide this latent function considering a large portion of the rap audience is white. is every trap rapper going to get the same criticism (future, gucci?) or even someone like jay-z because white people do what they do with a lot of things regarding the black experience? Her claims of him having white ghostwriters is also unfounded and kinda seem ridiculous. i feel like that would be a major sticking point of this if people wanted to deride his craft but it sticks out like a sore thumb as something fabricated to justify the rest of the opinion.
like the music can not be up someone's ally but the words to me are well crafted and intentional, and don't seem to be aimed at an audience of the white parents from get out. he and drake don't really make similar music to me in content, execution/delivery, or quantity. This coming from someone who doesn't really listen to kendrick casually, and
It seems so shallow of an observation but I never thought i would be spending this many words on an Azalea banks rant so that's what i get tbh.
Pulitzer Prize ass response
Pulitzer Prize ass response
not intentional just trying to communicate best i could in one go instead of being glib or not saying enough then going back and forth ad infinitum
is a block of text tho idk

Bruh, you were talking about celebrating Kendrick's low first week numbers and had to take a break from the site when Drake sold even less
The fact is that you're a b**** ass cracker who has no problem with Drake stans who do insane s*** because it's for Drake and then you want to cry about Kendrick stans clowning you. No "constructive criticism" and you absolutely were clowning, this was you when the first week numbers were revealed
ktt2.com/kendrick-fans-are-setting-him-up-for-failure-with-their-unrealistic-32519257/253
Like I said, you and TheGreatDivine on the same timing. Clowning other artists and fanbases then gaslight and play the victim when they bring the same energy.
