Yup. Star Wars also made the same mistake.

But also ALOT of blame falls on Disney . They pretty much forced Marvel to increase their output by making them produce shows for Disney+

it's really funny because when disney bought marvel in 2009 i thought everyone was being so alarmist about what it would do to the company, and almost 20 years later i sit here and i say "yes, all those people were exactly right."

I felt like the fear was that they would “kidify” Marvel

Which, idk, kind of happened? But at the same time we have gotten some mature stuff from Disney-Marvel

i feel that it happened - i mean in 2003 Spider-Man was 35 years old married, his wife had a miscarriage, they had separated, and came back together.

He had a mature enough relationship with aunt may that she knew he was spider-man and she called him out for really protecting himself instead of her by keeping the identity a secret.

Fast forward 23 years he's 27 years old now there's been 0 development or really any story of note besides superior (which isn't about peter) and the comics version of spider verse (which sucked ass)

and that's just an example of one character, aside from a few exceptions the entire universe has been stagnant for a very very long time.

And if we're talking MCU, I don't think a single anything from there could be classified as a mature story besides Wandavision kind of? Except even that ended with another big light fight in the sky

Marvel's just not really doing it like they did anymore.

  • like we're not gonna get an interesting critique and evaluation of "the world outside your window" similar to civil war and the patriot act under disney

I mean Daredevil and Punisher, even in their original Netflix versions, were still Disney controlled

But I get what you’re saying

Apparently a poster is dropping on Monday with the tickets. The old rumor of the chess board poster is firing back up on the Twitter world. Would be HARD if designed right. Make it colorful like this or super dark and brooding

  • With all the talk about this being a new beginning, what's the chance all the FoX-Men (minus Hugh and Ryan) are killed in Doomsday and we get more than just Sadie in SW?
