currently reading through the series isayama credits for being the primary influence for aot (muv luv) and i'm already noticing a lot of similarities
pretty cool
iyasama really ripped the uprising arc lmfao
Seems reasonable for a 10 year old to think that to be honest, and she isn't completely out of her depth she's already offed two Paradis soldiers.
Yeah Gabi’s a strong/good fighter + her anger is justified.
It’s the way she uncle toms & capes for Marleyans that pisses everyone off. Her understanding of the conflict is horrible, EVEN when people like Falco try reasoning with her.
She’s stuck in this story built up in her mind.

Oh no was replying to that comment in particular. Saying her attempted revenge is what makes her irritating, when it's probably the thing she has going for her character.
Her beliefs aren't it, is all I can say. But watching it as an amine you realise just how messed up Reiner's mom is and why she is the way she is, and Reiner's well.
I’m hearing this is the GOAT anime right now?
Airing? Yes
That's ever been made? In contention, if it sticks the landing it's cemented

just curious, what would be your ideal ending for aot?
If anybody watches HxH this was a crazy intro edit somebody did with the AOT op

If we follow the storyline to the last panel. I’m hoping for some plot twist this next chapter involving Ymir’s first encounter with the spine, maybe Eren was involved? Idk. Isayama teasing the pig panel several chapters ago and showing there being two spines last chapter makes me think he’s setting up this next chapter so it’s not completely random. Eren killing everybody save for his friends, ending the age of titans, and Ymir being reincarnated is a good realistic ending for me. Also want to see the Ackerman power explained

You’re 100% correct, people are delusional that think The Ymir bonding with the Hallucigenia would’ve remained unexplained. On top of that, my strong suspicion is that Eren had a hand in it as well.

The manga has stated she made a deal with the ‘Devil’ to obtain the power. It can’t be the first king. He didn’t give her any power. Since paths transcend physical space and time, couldn’t it be possible Eren made a deal with Ymir there? Somehow I want to believe so.
And I’m positive that tree used to be in the giant forest

You’re right on the money, nephew. AOTs story draws heavily from Norse mythology.
“The three wise women instructed Odin that to learn the knowledge he sought, he must pluck out one eye, hang himself upside down from the world tree, and allow himself to be pierced by a spear. ... Since the dark Nordic mythology does not grant immortality to even the gods, Odin quickly died”

Notice how he’s hanging? In that posture? Remind you of anything? + the bird flying behind him which symbolizes Falco, & in the mythology, hope for a new world (after the world destroys during Ragnarok).

Last chapter showed the Elder spine is literally the Tree of Life
I read this theory before but never heard of the three wise men bit. With the info from last chapter this is on the money
@alphabear so what happens next in your prediction?

RIP BOZO
The top god in Norse mythology got swindled into the most elaborate suicide
So Niohoggr is the parasite...
It would actually be fire af if he took these old norse myths and tied them to an ancient lifeform like the hallucigenia
this season will be 23 chapters short of the full manga
plus if it ends on chap 116 we'll miss the best moment of the series
and its the ''final'' season
so I guess they wont do a part 2
even if we get 3 movies the time inbetween each one of em will be like waiting for Christmas in January
I used to hate gabi but on second thought her fear of eldians is justified
I know this sounds weird but her being as young as she is at first she looked like an annoying brat to me but in reality she's just a patriot with real ''misconceptions''
@alphabear so what happens next in your prediction?
Well, whether or not the AU theory is correct - one thing for certain is that Falco will lead all people who survived the rumbling into the new age, as in Norse mythology, the “bird of hope” flies above the people who survived Fenrir’s world-ending “Ragnarok” rampage.
If the AU theory is correct, Eren’s going to wake up back in our real world, as a regular earthling having experienced his fulfilled desire which was to unify humans in another universe against a common threat, himself, so they could finally get along.
Ymir is most likely, in my opinion, an advanced computer program that allowed Eren to go to the AU, which resulted in AOT’s story.
I could be wrong though Fetti, but in the case we find out that I’m right, write down the page number
