I wholeheartedly believe this. The story pulls heavily from Norse mythology, and after the events of Ragnarok (the ending of the known world), a single falcon/eagle will fly free above the survivors & it’ll symbolize hope.

In the manga they made it seem like the unknown farmer kid used to bully Historia as a kid, not the anime though. They positioned it like he liked her but didn’t know how to show it
